The thing about “yaoi” and all the man-sex obsession:
Women are, as a race, hopeless. The whole “yaoi” obsession comes from a woman’s confusion in choosing a mate. When watching (or fantasizing about) 2 men having sex, it’s easy for them to imagine themSELVES as one of the two men, pairing herself with the partner with qualities more suited ot her taste.
…I don’t think there’s a science to it, this is all just my personal opinion. I have several friends with this…affliction…and I am able to understand their need to think of male partners this way.
And, even if two males are NEVER seen in that context (ie-like Kira and Athrun), the IDEA of them being together is soothing to women.
…I hope this helps SOMEWHAT.
…Maybe experimentation on YOUR part would help you to understand. *laughs*

WELL. I’m pretty late joining the conversation, but personally I think it’s hott either way. lol I have no bias. Stick two good looking people together no matter what their equipment, and I think it’s pretty hott. Maybe we’re just bored. Anything different or interesting to keep our minds occupied. Or maybe we just like to see you squirm lol.

Not all women are like this…
There are women who actually HATE the idea of yaoi; they are against shipping two male characters.(No, not homosexuals in general, but placing two males together which have nothing romantic or sexual to do with each other, AKA “non canon” and calling it gay porn. Which yaoi actually is.) However, there are females who would just approve of two boys being together. They think they’re a cute and a hot couple. (They treat it like Kira x Lacus or Athrun x Cagalli, but in this case Athrun x Kira or vise versa) I happen to be one of them.
In My Opinion,
WOMEN ARE NOT HOPELESS, AS A RACE OR GENDER. WE ARE NOT A RACE ANYWAYS. IF YOU THINK WOMEN ARE CONFUSED IN CHOOSING A MATE, START GOING OUTSIDE, GO ON DATING PROGRAMS, HOTLINES, ETC….YOU’LL BE AMAZED OF HOW MANY PEOPLE YOU CAN CHOOSE FROM.
Its not taste it seems, its more like attractiveness in a character, any character whether he’s hot or not - my opinion on women like you. Its like this for every fictional character(s), isn’t it.
I’m sorry but I have to strongly disagree with you!
